Amitabh Bachchan began the latest episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’ on a different note as he revealed that he had suffered a knee injury during the previous day’s shoot. Unlike his usual energetic entry and standing monologue, the veteran actor chose to remain seated while addressing the audience.“Usually, I do my monologue standing at the center but today, I have a knee injury,” he shared. Bachchan then revealed how he hurt himself, adding, “Yesterday, during the shoot, I slipped and fell and injured my knee.”The actor pointed towards his left knee while making the revelation, leaving the studio audience visibly concerned. After the audience gasped, Amitabh quickly reassured them that the injury was not serious. He explained that although he would stand while hosting the challengers, he preferred to sit during the opening monologue as he had a “little bit of difficulty standing up”.The audience then wished the veteran actor a speedy recovery.Meanwhile, Amitabh recently reflected on his bond with his son Abhishek Bachchan in a blog post. Talking about their relationship and how they may have different perspectives despite sharing a common destination, he wrote, “Pita putra dono rahe, ek manch par baithai; vichar alag alag ho chaahe, manzil ke hi aithe (Both father and son sit together on the same stage; their views may differ, but their destination remains the same).”He went on to write about the mutual love and respect between them. “Respect for the next generation ever… but the destination is ever the same… that be the ideal of every path taken… and that has ever been the relation, seek, discover, understand, and design the destination that be common to all in its beneficial incarnation: love, respect, and in a while the love of the well-wishers.”On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has several projects in the pipeline. He will next be seen in ‘Section 84’, a courtroom drama directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The film also stars Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee and is currently in post-production.
